Prescription Drugs, Health and Dental Care
As a CPA member, you are not eligible for the RAMQ public plan if you are under 65.
In accordance with An Act respecting Prescription Drug Insurance, if you are less than 65 years of age and do not have access to a group insurance plan through your employer or spouse, you must be insured under the plan sponsored by the OCPAQ for yourself and your eligible dependents.
If you are inadvertently registered through the Régie or if you are currently without coverage, it is in your best interest to rectify the situation.
Currently taking little or no medication? This plan allows you to meet the requirements of the Law1 at the lowest possible cost, while benefiting from out-of-country travel medical emergency insurance.
Are you seeking coverage equivalent to that offered by an employer? In addition to more generous coverage of prescription drug purchases and travel insurance, the plan provides for additional services not covered by the provincial health plan.
Looking for superior coverage? This plan provides more generous benefits and a higher reimbursement level.
You can access extended health care coverage by subscribing to the Full Plan without Drug coverage and take advantage of important benefits, such as paramedical services and travel insurance. This plan is subject to evidence of insurability when your previous group insurance coverage has been terminated for more than 31 days.
Also proposed in 2 levels of coverage this benefit will cover up to $1,500 of dental expenses, and can include orthodontic treatments for dependent children. Note that dental insurance is only available with the equivalent or higher health insurance plan.
